A ka-bar knife is collected by knife enthusiasts because of its fighting feature. It is like that of a Bowie knife and was popularized by the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corp during the Second World War. Generally, a ka-bar knife has a seven inch blade that has a clip point. The ka-bar knife was made from carbon steel. It also has a synthetic handle and leather washer that is made from a rubber substitute called the Kraton.
The ka-bar knife was originally intended for hunting during 1898. It would have been impossible at that time but as the years passed, the knife was used during the Second World War.
