Hi friend i am a gaming freak and it is like my life. Most of my time on internet i play online games and the game i like to play online the most is Counter-Strike : Source. I will say it is the best multiplayer game you have ever seen. This game is designed by observing SWAT team in USA.
This game basically have two teams one is terrorist and other is counter terrorist. It is a multiplayer game. You can play it alone by adding BOTS to the game. This game has basically 3 types of maps from my point of view
1) Assault type
2) Bomb site
3) Hostage situation
1)ASSAULT MAPS:
This map is like do or die situation. You have to kill your opponents to win the round of the game. I will say this type of map will improve your reflexes. It is like a single player map where one player can change the way of the game. The map i like for this type of game is "32_aztecworld".
2)BOMB SITE MAP:
This is the type of map where you need more team work. Her the terrorist team has to plant the bomb and the CT force has to stop them from planting the bomb. If the bomb get planted then the objective of terrorist team is to stop the CT to diffuse the Bomb and th objective for CT is to diffuse the Bomb before it blasts. You can take the example of the map "de_dust"
3)HOSTAGE SITUATION MAPS:
It is also a team a team game type of map. It is a map where you must have a good tactics and good coordination among the team members to win the game. Here the objective for the CT force is to get the hostages out to safe place and the objective for the terrorist team is to stop the CT force to take the hostages out. I think it is the hardest among all map for the players. Again one thing i want to say there is a turning point in this game i.e. if all the hostages get killed before getting rescued then the game becomes a assault match.
WEAPONS:
The combat action of this game is enhanced by it's special weapons.
I have divided the guns into following catagories
1)Knife
2)Pistols
3)Heavy guns
4)Explosives
5)Equipments
1) Knife is used as a close combat weapon in this game. It is also a deadly weapon when you are close to enemy and your guns get reloaded.
2) Pistol is also a secondary choice when your out of ammo in your main gun.

4)Explosives are the main themes of the game, with which you can damage the enemy from a larger distance. It has following type of explosives
1 Hand grenade (for damaging the enemies)
2 Flash bangs (for making the enemies blind)
3 Smoke grenades (for creating smoke)
5) Equipments are also vital factors in this game it consists of
1Kelver and helmets (as Armour)
2 Diffuse kit (for diffusing bomb)
3 Tactical shield (for defensing your self)

This game is purely a tactical and team work game. I want to share my own experience about this game.
This year(2009) in my college tech fest i organized the game competition. The center of attraction of this game competition was Counter strike source. Around 40 teams from different colleges have joined this competition and each teams consists of 5 members each. I observed each team has different playing tactics. They all have different playing strategies.
I have divided the gaming strategies into 2 categories
1) Defensive
2) Attack oriented
1) Defensive this word is useful for the terrorist team in the Bomb site and Hostage situation maps.
2) Attack oriented for the CT force in the Bomb site and Hostage situation maps. for assault maps both the teams are in the attack mood.
